BMA-KF
BMA-KF
Technical Details
BMA Connectors or Blind-Mate Connectors are slide-on/push-on RF connectors that can operate up to 22 GHz. A connection using these connectors can simply be made by pressing two BMA connectors together (Male & Female). They do not require wrenches or other tools to secure the connection. A type of spring mechanism is used to make the connection which also takes care of small misalignments when mating.
BMA connectors originated in the 1980’s and are available in two variations – fixed or floating. The floating variation provides tolerance towards axial or radial misalignment making them ideal for high vibration applications. The spring mechanism separates the connector interface from the flange housing and allows floating for blind mating purposes.
BMA connectors are suitable for high-frequency rack and panel applications including active electronically scanned array antennas, military microwave modules, radars, rack and panel telecommunication equipment.
Key Features:
Operating Frequency: Up to 22 GHz
Impedance: 50 Ohm
Coupling Mechanism: Slide-on/Push-on Coupling
Interface Standards: IEC 61169-33, MIL-STD-348B
Mating Cycles: Over 5000
Power rating at 1GHz: 450W
Temperature range: -65°C / +165°C
